Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions are provided to give you all the information we can about your online or in store transaction so that you completely understand the whole process. It is important to us that you spend a few minutes reading the information provided, as you will be accepting these terms & conditions every time you make a purchase with us.

Our Contract with You

Once you have placed an order and payment has been taken, you will receive an "Order Acknowledgement", this is to notify you that we have received your order. This acknowledgement is not a notification that we have accepted your order. If we have to cancel all, or part of your order for any reason, we will email you to let you know. Every effort is made to ensure the information on our website is accurate at all times, but if we have made a mistake by unintentionally publishing inaccurate information (e.g. the price, description or availability of a product you have ordered) we reserve the right to cancel your order at any time. If this is the case, you will be offered the following: - Re-order the product at the correct price - Receive a full refund of any payments made

Prices & Payments

All prices are in UK pounds. The total cost of your order will be the price of the products you ordered, plus any additional charge for delivery. You will see all these items in your basket before you submit your order. Payment is deducted once an order is submitted.

VAT

Unless otherwise stated, all goods are inclusive of VAT however, the company shall be entitled to vary any prices to reflect any increase in the rate of VAT.

Delivery

Deliveries are usually made by either courier or by post. Please note overseas customers are not able to claim VAT refunds on deliveries to UK addresses. Where next day delivery is offered, this is not a guaranteed service, and no shipping refund can be offered when items are not received next day. In the case of ordered goods the company will use its best endeavours to ensure availability of the same by the date and time requested. However, the company can offer no guarantee with respect to the provision of this clause and cannot accept responsibility for the delay resulting from none or late availability of goods or other reasons beyond our control.

Returns/ Cancellations

Consumer contract regulations 2013

This legislation offers you the following cancellation rights when you buy online or by phone:

  • You are entitled to cancel your contract if you so wish, provided that you exercise your right no longer than 14 days after the day on which you receive the goods or services.
  • Your right to return or cancel products does not apply to goods that are specially ordered to your vehicle registration on VIN Number which by reason of their nature cannot be returned. This doesn't affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty or not as described.
  • If you wish to exercise your right of cancellation, you are obliged to retain possession of the goods and take reasonable care of them.
  • To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel your contract by a clear statement, including details of your name, geographical address, details of the order you wish to cancel and, where available, your phone number and email address.

  • If you decide to cancel, you should return the goods to us at your cost within 14 days of such cancellation and we will reimburse to you (by the method used to pay for the original transaction) the amount in relation to goods to which cancellation rights apply. This includes the cost of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you choose a type of delivery other than our standard and least expensive method of delivery).
  • We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you. We will make the reimbursement no later than 14 days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied.

 

In Store orders

We can only accept non faulty items or non special order items for return within 7 days of purchase, Items must be unused in original packaging & any applicable seals still intact. A re-stocking charge may apply to certain items The Company reserves the right to reject any returns considered unsuitable for resale for whatever reason. Where the above conditions have been met the Company will credit your account within 30 days. Working days means all days other than Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. Goods of a perishable nature are non-cancellable.

Special Order Items

Orders for Goods which are not general stock items and which are subject to special order provision to your registration number or VIN number are only accepted by the Company on the basis that such orders cannot be cancelled by the customer, and that credit cannot be issued for such Goods.

Faulty Goods/ Warranty

You must inform The Company of any defect as a result of damage in transit, or any listed components that are found to be missing, within 24 hours of delivery of the Goods, in particular if your item has an LCD display screen. All products carry a full manufacturer Warranty If your product develops a fault whilst still covered in the warranty period, please contact us on 0114 2852768 and we will advise you of the next step to rectify the problem. All items that are returned will be examined to identify if the product is faulty within 2 working days. All items returned and found to be not faulty may incur a charge of up to £30 and returned at the customer’s expense. We will not cover faults caused by accidents, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear. Any Orders that are over 6 months old and the Product has been confirmed to be defective and a refund is due, the refund will be calculated based on the age of the Order and you will be refunded a proportionate amount of the original purchase price of the Product. This does not include the carriage cost of the original Order which will not be refunded.

General

Burrows Motor Company Contracts shall be governed and interpreted exclusively according to English Law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, including the Consumer contract regulations 2013. Our terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.  We are required by law to tell you that sales can be concluded in English only and that no public filing requirements apply.
